Position Specific Description
The PV Solar & Battery Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and maintenance of NextEra Energy's photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery storage systems. As a member of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, the technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of clean energy systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of PV solar and battery energy storage systems to identify and address any maintenance or performance issues.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including cleaning panels, replacing faulty components, and performing tests to ensure optimal system performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures, utilizing technical knowledge and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with the operations team to implement and execute maintenance plans and procedures.
- Coordinate closely with the construction team during the installation and commissioning of new solar projects.
- Generate reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment conditions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all work activities.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in solar technology and maintenance techniques.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains all tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition
- Provides inspection of watch, electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for a solar field and pipeline
- Performs daily inspection for fluid system breaches, mechanical component breakage or misalignment, and electrical component failures preventing a collector or groups of collectors from tracking
- Travel to other sites will be required
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 3+ years
- Valid Driver’s License (NON CDL)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
The base pay range for this position is $38.08 to $57.12 per hour. This range represents the expected base pay for a successful candidate and is based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and internal equity.
