Position Specific Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer II to join our team at EverBright! The QA Automation Engineer II will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software releases, via manual and automated testing.

Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. You will work with others to design and implement scalable and robust software solutions.

 

What You Will Do: 

  • Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduct and resolve defects and bugs
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily scrum meetings; and retrospective sessions
  • Ensure all test cases are executed and documented according to best practices and company standards
  • Analyze and report on test results, identifying areas for improement
  • Continuously improve test coverage and automation scripts to increase efficiency and effectiveness of testing
  • Contribute to the development and aintenance of continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other QA engineers

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 2+ years of demonstrated experience in software test engineering, OR 8 years demonstrated experience in software testing and automation
  • Strong automation skills using at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
  • Experience with testing frameworks for APIs, databases, and other backend systems
  • Experience using automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress
  • Knowledge of Software testing methodologies, testing tools, and best practices
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve system issues in business-critical customer environments including application, network, host/virtual machine, and cloud environment resources
  • Establish the root cause of errors and provide feedback to product owners to improve customer experience
  • Communicate technical issues to non-technical customers in a timely and accurate way, via phone, email, or chat
  • Work with product owners to prioritize system enhancements or issues and participate in user acceptance testing prior to release
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
