Position Summary
Lead NextEra Energy's comprehensive AI transformation strategy by driving adoption, learning, and innovation across the enterprise. This strategic leadership role focuses on AI adoption program oversight, stakeholder influence, and organizational change to scale AI capabilities, measure adoption impact, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Program Leadership
- Define and execute enterprise-wide AI transformation roadmap aligned with business strategy
- Partner with executive leadership to establish AI adoption goals and success metrics
- Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple business units and departments
- Champion AI culture transformation through strategic influence and engagement
- Stakeholder Influence & Collaboration
- Build executive sponsorship and stakeholder buy-in for AI transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with AI specialists, subject matter experts, and business partners
- Navigate organizational dynamics and accelerate adoption through effective change strategies
- Foster innovation mindset and growth-oriented culture across the enterprise
- Business Impact & Measurement
- Develop comprehensive metrics framework tracking AI adoption, productivity gains, and ROI
- Analyze AI adoption effectiveness and optimize programs based on data-driven insights
- Report progress to senior leadership with clear business impact storytelling
- Drive accountability for measurable outcomes across all AI adoption initiatives
- Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Research emerging AI trends and identify strategic opportunities for NextEra Energy
- Represent the organization at industry events and AI transformation forums
- Build external partnerships with AI vendors, consultants, and thought leaders
- Design breakthrough approaches to enterprise AI adoption and capability building

Job Overview
This position establishes strategy, develops business plans, and oversees and manages the design, development and implementation of technology solutions to meet business needs. Leaders in this role provide leadership and oversight to manage performance and results in one or more Information Technology (IT) disciplines. Individuals will be accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, influence, vision, and direction to the organization to contribute to achieving the company's goals
- Works with IT leaders to develop overall IT strategy in alignment with business strategy
- Oversees value stream by focusing on cost and risks of technology portfolio to meet business needs
- Supports and fosters innovative technologies to deliver new ideas that enable business transformation
- Ensures high levels of ongoing system and application performance in production environments
- Oversees development of processes and tools to automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
- Attracts, develops and retains a high-performing and diverse team
- Establishes and drives technology roadmaps that align with current and future business needs
- Manages third party technical and outsourcing relationships to deliver project and operational support objectives
- Ensures technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 8+ years
- Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
