Position Specific Description

The Associate Analyst, Origination Structuring will assist in the development, contract structuring, and execution of renewable energy projects. This role demands a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with experience in renewable energy, finance, and energy markets. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the strategic origination and development of projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Senior Director of Structuring, Associate Analysts will support the process for pricing, structuring, and/or negotiating power purchase agreements (PPAs), financing agreements, and other project-related contracts.
  • Assist in conducting financial analysis, modeling, and risk assessment, including pricing analytics and benchmarking efforts 
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities and trends within the renewable energy sector.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in renewable energy, finance, or energy markets.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and market dynamics within the renewable energy sector.
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Experience with energy storage solutions and technologies.
  • Certification or training in project management

Job Overview

This job is responsible for structuring complex commercial and industrial products. Employees in this role conduct analyses and quality control for all automated pricing engines.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creates economic models and performs statistical analysis to support the development and evaluation of complex energy transactions and deal structures
  • Serves as a problem-solver with a “customer-first” mentality by identifying the needs of business customers and devising innovative ways to meet those needs
  • Supports the sales team and account executives by providing time-critical analysis for new, incremental and existing business opportunities
  • Collects, analyzes, and presents data in order to communicate complex concepts in conversations and presentations with senior management, external client organizations, and project partners    
  • Manages multiple projects and coordinates work efforts with other team members, facilitating cooperation amongst cross-functional teams that reach across business units
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
