Position Specific Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Capital Markets Team. The successful candidate will primarily focus on supporting structured finance and/or tax equity transactions, optimizing funding costs, and managing associated risk. Key responsibilities:

  • Execution of Capital Recycling Transactions: Assist in the origination and execution of structured finance and tax equity transactions, including bond offerings, securitizations, and debt placements. 
    • Perform analysis to support new transactions including lender/investor selection and comparison of proposed structures.
    • Support due diligence efforts including coordinating with rating agencies, advisors, external consultants, and internal teams.
  • Market Research: Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn about structured finance market dynamics, including trends, investor preferences, regulatory frameworks, and transaction structuring techniques.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct rigorous due diligence, risk assessments, stress testing, and scenario analysis to identify and mitigate risks associated with structured finance transactions.
  • Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, tax, accounting, risk, compliance, and operations teams, to coordinate deal execution and ensure alignment with organizational goals and guidelines.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess cash flow projections, operational risks, and returns on investment for structured finance and tax equity transactions.
  • Presentations and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive presentations to facilitate effective communication with key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.

 
Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Eagerness to begin a career in finance and interest in structured finance and tax equity; relevant coursework or internships are a plus.
  • A basic understanding of capital markets and a desire to learn about securitization structures, legal/regulatory frameworks, and investor strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams, lenders/investors, and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to stay abreast of the evolving landscape of finance and renewable energy markets and leverage this knowledge for strategic decision making.
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail and time management – especially when juggling multiple tasks or deadlines.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced MS Excel skills. Knowledge of other financial software and programming languages (such as VBA, Python, R) is a plus.

Job Overview

This position works with internal and external groups to perform due diligence and asset valuations of various corporate financing projects. This position works as a Subject Matter Expert in the planning and coordination of work assignments to identify and analyze the impact of relevant financing projects.
 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works with internal and external groups to analyze various financial projects such as mergers and acquisitions                   
  • Builds, enhances and maintains complex financial models                   
  • Proposes strategies to maximize the financial performance of the company                   
  • Supports project and corporate capitalization processes with due diligence, identification of key risks and mitigants, and cash flow analyses                  
  • Makes recommendations on financing decisions and executes long and/or short term financings
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience            
  • Experience: 0+ years         
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's - Accounting / Finance            
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)            
  • Chartered Financial Analyst  (CFA)
