Position Specific Description

Employees in this role are responsible for working with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate acquisitions and divestitures, maintain reserves, along with supporting the asset team to create and execute field development plans. Experience with reserves based lending highly preferred, and candidate must be able to interface with reserves auditor, answering their questions and providing supporting information. The candidate should be able to provide reliable data and present findings in a clear and concise manner. PHDWin experience required; ComboCurve experience a plus.

 

Job Overview 
This job is responsible for performing highly skilled analytical engineering functions. Employees in this role are responsible for rigorous technical analysis to deliver an accurate forecast of current and future well production, working with asset teams to optimize asset development, and evaluating well performance and upside potential for asset acquisition and divestment. 

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities 
•   Provide rigorous technical analysis to deliver an accurate forecast of producing wells and future well proposals
•   Identify key production drivers and uncertainties
•   Perform reserve updates in accordance with SEC guidelines
•   Clearly communicate and support recommendations 
•   Collaborate closely with cross-functional team to recommend optimal development plan given corporate priorities
•   Evaluate and rank new opportunities 
•   Provide analysis of and recommendations for technical data such as RTA, DFIT, PVT, simulation, etc. 
•   Keep abreast of new technology and leverage to support business solutions
•   Mentor less experienced reservoir engineers and provide guidance 

 

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working for an oil and gas operator
• Familiarity with ComboCurve

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for evaluating well performance and upside potential for asset acquisition and divestment, log analysis, working with operators in picking perforations and completing techniques, integrating with various groups to forecast production and revenue, and other projects as assigned.

•   Assists management with forecasting future production and revenue
•   Evaluates and ranks new opportunities
•   Builds type curves for new plays
•   Works with operating partners to identify and pick new locations, perforations, completion techniques, etc.
•   Keeps abreast of new technology
•   Networks with industry peers
•   Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

•  Bachelor's - Engineering
•  Experience: 4+ years
