Position Specific Description

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of our renewable energy generation facilities, including wind and solar installations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in the clean energy industry and gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge technologies.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine inspections and proactive maintenance of renewable energy generation equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
  2. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions or failures, collaborating with senior technicians as necessary.
  3. Conduct basic repairs and replacements of components or systems under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  4. Monitor and analyze production data to identify potential operational inefficiencies, proposing and implementing improvements as appropriate.
  5. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and project visitors.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inspection reports.
  7. Participate in training programs and workshops to continuously enhance technical knowledge and skills.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and environmental health and safety, to support facility performance optimization.
  9. Assist with the procurement and inventory management of spare parts, tools, and other necessary materials.
  10. Support the implementation and compliance of environmental, health, and safety regulations.

 

This position will be a rotational schedule including day and night hours.

Job Overview

Employees in this entry-level position perform power plant operations as well as maintenance on station equipment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Under direct supervision:

  • Repairs and calibrates equipment
  • Monitors equipment performance through testing
  • Applies basic electrical, mechanical, or I and C skills
  • Must train and qualify for Production Technician II within one year of hire
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 0+ years
  • Valid Driver’s License (NON-CDL)

The base pay for this position is $62,400.00 to $93,600.00 per year. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
