Position Specific Description
NextEra Energy's Aviation Department seeks a highly skilled Sr. Aviation Maintenance Technician to provide comprehensive maintenance support for our corporate aircraft fleet. This role requires an FAA A&P License, 5+ years aviation maintenance experience (corporate/business aircraft preferred), strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment while handling confidential information. Key responsibilities include performing scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, conducting inspections and troubleshooting, applying MEL requirements, collaborating with pilots and maintenance teams, and maintaining accurate documentation. Job Overview
Employees in this job are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and servicing corporate fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. This role also performs flight line duties.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Plans and performs maintenance, inspections, and repairs on corporate type aircraft
• Tracks and documents maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR)
• Maintains spare parts inventories to appropriate levels
• Procures aircraft parts for present and future use
• Performs flight line duties including towing aircraft, marshaling aircraft for departure/arrival and maintaining ground support equipment
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 5+ years
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certificate
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- FAA Inspector Authorization (IA)
