Position Specific Description

 

The Technical Business Analyst serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams by analyzing business processes, data, and system relationships across enterprise applications. This role requires strong analytical and technical skills to extract, analyze, and interpret data from multiple platforms, including Salesforce, SAP, CIS, and SQL Server. The ideal candidate will be capable of writing and executing SQL queries, creating reports and dashboards, performing data analysis, documenting requirements, and supporting enterprise data management initiatives. The Technical Business Analyst will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making by translating complex business needs into actionable insights and technical solutions.

 

An ideal candidiate will:

Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business, functional, and data requirements. Translate business needs into technical solutions through data analysis, process mapping, and detailed specifications. Write and execute SQL queries to extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze data from multiple enterprise systems. Develop reports, dashboards, KPIs, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights and support operational, financial, and strategic decision-making. Collaborate with business users to identify trends, improve reporting capabilities, and drive data-driven decisions across the organization.

 

Analyze and document complex data structures, including databases, schemas, tables, columns, and relationships across Salesforce, SAP, CIS, SQL Server, and related enterprise systems. Develop data mappings, perform data validation and reconciliation, and support data migration and ETL activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Partner with business and technical teams to troubleshoot data issues, identify process improvements, and ensure successful testing and implementation of new solutions. Maintain a strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and how data flows across applications, enabling the organization to leverage enterprise data effectively for reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and database design concepts.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and system requirements.
  • Experience with SQL Server and enterprise reporting tools.
  • Understanding of databases, schemas, tables, columns, and data relationships.
  • Experience analyzing and reconciling data across Salesforce, SAP, CIS, and other enterprise systems.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, KPIs, and data visualizations.
  • Knowledge of data migration, ETL concepts, and data validation processes.
  • Proficiency with business analysis and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, SharePoint, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Working experience with Agile Scrum methodology, including requirements gathering, user story creation, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, user acceptance testing (UAT), and collaboration with cross-functional teams using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

  • Creates and updates documentation, as appropriate, for selected project framework
  • Maintains a familiarity with market trends in technology
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
