Position Specific Description

Our Technical Services Department is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Test Engineer to join their team in West Palm Beach, FL. In this role, you will identify critical characteristics to develop test plans for electrical components (breakers, relays, switches, and discrete components) and support component testing. You will collaborate with the Electrical Engineering and Quality Control teams to ensure accurate component test performance.

 

The Nuclear Electrical Test Engineer will:

•    Support the electrical engineering team in conducting electrical tests, including component-level testing
•    Assist in designing and implementing test plans
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, recommend effective solutions, and document findings
•    Analyze test results and provide recommendations for process improvements or modifications
•    Work with a diverse team of engineers to understand current systems and suggest improvements
•    Document test procedures, specifications, and analysis reports clearly and concisely
•    Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
•    Stay current on advancements in electrical testing methodologies and equipment

 

The selected candidate will have:

•    Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and concepts
•    Familiarity with electrical testing methodologies, equipment, and instruments
•    Proficiency in electrical simulation and analysis software tools
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
•    Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong attention to detail
•    Self-motivation with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
•    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (highly preferred)

Job Overview

This job performs activities in support of engineering operations and project completion. Employees in this role conduct engineering root cause analysis and develop cost-effective countermeasures. Individuals also perform engineering fundamental activities to support operations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs engineering/analytical tasks to develop reliable, cost-effective recommendations
  • Uses advanced computer models to develop and study solution feasibility
  • Prepares engineering documentation and assists with technical support for licensing and other regulatory proceedings
  • Ensures procured materials and services meet engineering specifications
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
