Position Specific Description

Contribute to the success of growing variety of channels by supporting FPLES New Product Development and M&A team. From planning and executing variety of projects from go-to-market strategy for new products to investments, and mergers and acquisitions You’ll spend your summer learning about financial modeling, structuring deals, and business development projects. As the ideal candidate, you will have strong organizational, time management and project management skills and be able to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends to identify opportunities and challenges in the residential industry

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to support the execution of strategic projects including data analysis, preparing presentations, and generating insights to inform decision-making

  • Collaborate with NextEra Investment team to review potential start-ups for investment opportunities

  • Assist in financial modeling associated with strategic initiatives and projects

  • Participate in ad-hoc assignment and prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and updates to communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholders

Job Overview

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists department with assigned projects
  • Completes challenging projects and assignments
  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school grad / GED
  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
