Position Specific Description
Our Smart Grid Department is seeking a skilled and experienced Land Surveyor Manager (Licensed) to guide land surveying operations across our entire service territory. This role will cover a wide range of projects and will require the employee to leverage their experience for the implementation and standardization of land surveying services within the company. This position is located at our Jupiter West Office, Florida.
Job Overview
This job will require the services of a Professional Land Surveyor who will oversee professional land surveying projects, including collection methodology, reporting and a certified signed-and-seal stamp with his license number. This employee must be licensed in the state of Florida and must be active. This role requires a high level of expertise in surveying land for construction, mapmaking, permitting and property boundary clarification, and involved administering all related legal, technical and fieldwork requirements.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage land surveying project reports and products
- Lead and conduct field surveys, including topographic, boundary, construction staking and other permitting functions
- Interpret legal documents and contracts pertaining to land surveying
- Conduct research in survey archives and offices as needed to obtain information about property boundaries
- Provide consultation, direction, and guidance to junior staff and management on matters related to land surveying
- Accountable for accuracy, timeliness and legal compliance of all survey activities conducted
- Maintain professional licenses and stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 8+ years
- State of Florida Licensed Land Surveyor License
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Experience: 10+ years
