Position Specific Description

Our Fleet Services Department is looking for a Fleet Services Program Specialist 1 to join their team in West Palm Beach, FL.  This position will be supporting the Light Duty Fleet Department in timely procurement and delivery of approved vehicles and upfitted equipment.  This position requires excellent customer service skills and requires data entry accuracy.  The ideal candidate should have excellent Microsoft Office skills, SAP knowledge and vehicle supply chain experience preferred. Duties involve analysis of replacement budgets, discussions with management, employees, and contractors to determine the requirements of vehicles, and development of specifications which best reflect and meet the work requirements of the respective user departments. 
 
The selected candidate for this role:

•    Assists team members with vehicle design and development of new products and automotive equipment.
•    Analyzes, evaluates, and enters new equipment acquisitions into the fleet data base and fleet inventory management systems. 
•    Prepares pivot tables to calculate annual fleet budget plans for replacement. 
•    Maintenance and claim assessments and approval requests.
•    Updates and record keeping in Fleet data bases and file systems.
•    Provides fuel card assignments, distribution, pin generation and updates. 
•    Inspection of light duty vehicles for auction and new vehicle deliveries.
•    Able to multi-task and be flexible to take on other equivalent related job duties and back up other team members.
•    Receives and inspects equipment for compliance with procurement specifications. 
•    Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturer representatives on matters related to equipment acquisition.
•    Provides storm role after hours support during storms.
•    Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Overview

This job is responsible administering fleet development activities and the development of programs that minimizes fleet expenses and maximizes operational efficiency and safety. Employees in this role administer a managed fuel program that supports the corporate objective of energy independence and leadership in the use of alternative fuel vehicles.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops policy for DOT / regulatory compliance programs
  • Provides direction for policy development that protects the Fleet asset base
  • Administers fleet acquisition, disposal, operation, and maintenance program activities with focus on cost control and increasing utilization of national accounts negotiated by supply chain
  • Prepares Fleet budget and monitors/controls expenditures through effective contract management
  • Authorizes repairs
  • Interacts with business unit leads/customers on fleet vehicle related issues/concerns
  • Manages fuel card program with emphasis on cost control and exception reporting and compliance
  • Administers the development of equipment preventive maintenance programs to insure that Fleet functions at maximum effectiveness
  • Assists in the development and administration of driver policy procedures for Fleet
  • Meets attendance and storm duty requirements
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 3+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Certified Automotive Fleet Management
  • Commercial Driver’s License
