Position Specific Description

This position is a Data & Quality Technician I - Dsbn role in FPL’s Fleet Services department. Fleet Services is responsible for all aspects of FPL and NextEra Energy Resource (NEER) assets totaling ~6,400 units (E.g., bucket trucks, derricks, service trucks, light vehicles, trailers, etc.….)

This position is in the Fleet Performance and Analytics group of Fleet Services. This group’s primary responsibilities are to provide budgetary, analytical, and general support to the Fleet Services department and our customers.

The primary responsibilities for the Data & Quality Technician are:

  • Vehicle acquisition
    • Create capital IOs
    • Create purchase orders
    • Submit shopping carts to ISC as needed
    • Process confirmations
    • Ensure registration & tags are provided for each unit
    • Assign and provide SunPass transponders and HOV certifications as needed
  • Update FASuite InfoCenter (aka FA) related to newly acquired units. FA is the system used by FPL to track all aspects of its company owned and rented units.
    • Put vehicles in service
    • Enter receiver IO, preventative maintenance (PM) schedule, vehicle rate, in-service date, capital IO, PO number, original cost information, vendor, PO number, actual payment amount, tag information, fuel type & capacity, Sun pass, meter info and title #
    • Verify location, VIN, & Assigned PM/repair are correct and change if necessary
    • Working with others in the department, ensure complete profile information is added for all new vehicles
  • Back up to support Fleet Services vehicle auction and disposal
    • After receiving email from Fleet Auction Technician verifying receipt of a unit, change status to P (PENDING) in FA
    • Pull title for all units to be auctioned and relocate vehicle file to the sold filing cabinet
    • As required, acquire certifications of destruction and duplicate titles
    • Create spreadsheet of auctioned units to be sent DMV
    • Prepare spreadsheet listing sold value, new FA status of sold (S) update PM schedule and date sold and upload into FA
    • Finalize Equipment Transfer Authorization (ETA) for units
  • Garage Support
    • Provide OSHA VPP support by updating on a quarterly and annual basis
    • For rental units, responsible for assignment of unit number, uploading profiles, PO creation, invoice confirmation and payment tracking
    • Address vendor payment inquiries and ensure resolution
    • Manage Forklift scheduling and invoicing (including transport requests made by customer directly)
    • Process various vendor invoices as required
