Position Specific Description

FPL Energy Services is looking for a Copywriter to join their team in West Palm Beach, FL.  As a member of the Marketing Team, the Copywriter will write, edit, and proof copy for a variety of projects (including print, web, direct mail, digital ads, video, and social media). Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you should be comfortable brainstorming ideas, creating concepts, and developing personalized messages to potential customers with a strong call-to-action. 

 

Job Specific Responsibilities:
•    Work closely with internal teams to participate in all stages of the creative process, from brainstorming, to strategy, and conceptual development.
•    Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action. 
•    Interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts through execution on assigned brands.
•    Revise copy based on feedback and direction. 
•    Proofread all written work for external and internal communication.
•    Work with the team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.
•    Be comfortable crafting short and long form copy.  

 

Requirements:
•    Exceptional written communication skills.
•    More than 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an agency setting. 
•    Proven success producing copy for advertising and marketing campaigns. 
•    Direct response copywriting skills for mail, digital and video. 
•    Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively. 
•    Manage multiple projects and deadlines with a cross-functional team. 
•    Experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing. 
•    Portfolio required. 

Job Overview

This job is responsible for assisting with projects from the earliest stages of concept and development through to successful completion on time, on budget and as measured by achievement of metrics. Employees in this role are expected to work with a high degree of initiative and independence in anticipating client needs, developing communication solutions that further the business objectives, and ensuring their successful implementation. This position serves as a key contributor on the team in a broad range of communications activities as assigned.
