Position Specific Description
Everyday our employees help us deliver safe, affordable, and reliable service to our more than 4.9 million customers. They are helping shape our company and how our customers see us. This Shadow Coach role has the flexibility to be located within any of the FPL Power Plants in Florida. The power plant location will be determined based on the candidate(s) selected. This position is a developmental role for future growth opportunities within our Power Generation Division Operations & Maintenance Team. Upon determination and timing and under general direction, this individual shall be able to successfully supervise and drive the operations & maintenance team to achieve all production and business targets while maintaining an injury-free work site.
Preferring attributes include:
- Industrial experience within mechanical, electrical and/or instrumentation & controls
- Knowledge and understanding of advanced combined cycle operations
- Planning and scheduling of complex tasks

Job Overview
Employees in this senior-level role direct a team of production and maintenance technicians and contractors in plant maintenance activities. Individuals in this position lead internal and external resources to Deliver Certainty, executing plant maintenance to achieve short and long term site goals and objectives in safety, environmental, compliance, reliability, availability and cost management.
