Position Specific Description
The RTC Onboarding/Administrative Manager role involves leading and directing the Renewable Training Center (RTC) onboarding operations as a core team member focused on workforce development and operational excellence. This position is responsible for establishing new onboarding strategies, leveraging innovative technology solutions, delivering exceptional customer service, and streamlining operations to support NextEra Energy's growing renewable energy workforce. The RTC onboarding team plays a critical role in preparing technicians for careers in wind, solar, and battery storage operations, supporting both NextEra Energy Resources, the largest infrastructure developer in the US, and Florida Power & Light's expanding energy portfolio. This role serves as a key talent development pipeline, ensuring new hires are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to maintain NextEra's industry-leading safety and operational standards.
The core duties of this role involve:
- Develops and implements comprehensive onboarding strategies for renewable energy technicians and support staff
- Leads and manages a team of 8-12 onboarding specialists and administrative coordinators
- Establishes technology-driven solutions to enhance onboarding efficiency and tracking capabilities
- Collaborates with training curriculum developers and field operations teams to ensure program alignment
- Monitors onboarding metrics and performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
- Manages customer service excellence for all onboarding participants and stakeholders

- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify, clarify, and solve operational challenges critical to onboarding success
- Establishes performance metrics, analyzes program effectiveness, and develops recommendations for continuous improvement
- Manages customer service excellence initiatives to ensure exceptional experience for all onboarding participants
- Constructs analytical frameworks for program evaluation and leads process improvement initiatives
- Streamlines administrative operations through technology adoption and workflow optimization
- Manages budget and resource allocation for onboarding operations
- Ensures compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company standards throughout onboarding processes
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
