The PGD Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator plays a key role in supporting training operations across Power Generation Division (PGD). This role is responsible for managing LMS content, ensuring accurate training assignments, maintaining training compliance, and supporting both leaders and field personnel with training-related needs. The LMS Administrator partners closely with Training, Safety, HR, and Operations teams to ensure employees receive the correct training at the right time. This position requires strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and committed to improving training accuracy and efficiency across PGD.

Job Overview

This role provides administrative and technical support for the Learning Management System used across the Power Generation Division. The LMS Administrator is responsible for creating and managing course content, assigning required training, updating learning paths, and ensuring accurate training records. Individuals in this role help maintain regulatory and safety compliance by ensuring that employees receive essential training and that completion data is correctly recorded and reported.

The LMS Administrator troubleshoots user issues, supports new system features or enhancements, and partners with business unit leaders to align training assignments with job roles. This position plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of PGD’s training programs and improving the learner experience. Employees in this role are expected to apply strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and effective communication to support a consistent and compliant training environment across PGD.

Job Duties & Responsibilities — PGD LMS Administrator

  • Manages day-to-day administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation, updates, testing, and archival.
  • Ensures accurate assignment of safety, compliance, and technical training based on job role, business unit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews, validates, and updates learning paths, curricula, and training matrices for PGD roles.
  • Monitors training compliance and produces regular reports for leaders, Safety, HR, and Operations.
  • Troubleshoots LMS issues, resolves user access problems, and supports employees and leaders with training-related inquiries.
  • Collaborates with Training, Safety, HR, and field leadership to ensure training content is current, accurate, and aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Partners with subject matter experts (SMEs) to upload and maintain training materials, including e-learning, videos, documents, and assessments.
  • Conducts quality assurance checks on training assignments, system updates, and data accuracy to ensure compliance and reporting integrity.
  • Supports audits and regulatory reviews by providing required training data, documentation, and evidence of compliance.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of LMS standards, processes, and governance to improve consistency across business units.
  • Coordinates with IT and vendor partners on LMS enhancements, integrations, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintains user groups, permissions, and position hierarchies to ensure proper training assignment automation.
  • Tracks and supports the completion of required certifications, qualifications, and recertification cycles.
  • Generates and distributes training metrics, dashboards, and completion summaries to stakeholders.
  • Supports new system features, upgrades, and process improvements through testing, communication, and documentation updates.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline training workflows and recommend system or process enhancements.
  • Provides training or guidance to leaders and employees on LMS navigation, training requirements, and reporting tools.
  • Ensures data integrity and consistency across all PGD training systems and interfaces.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides full-time technical support to the operations and business unit personnel
  • Performs system testing and documentation to critical systems during significant changes and/or upgrade
  • Analyzes and identifies the root cause of - and implements comprehensive technical solutions to - complex application deficiencies and system issues
  • Provides technical leadership in the functional specification, design, and implementation of new (as well as enhancements to existing) security center applications and tools
  • Develops new (and improves existing) processes with goal of increasing productivity, reducing risk of system failure, promoting efficiency in work flow, and meeting or exceeding the key operational performance targets
  • Establishes, documents, and maintains procedures and guidelines related to the day-to-day operational support provided to the operations and business unit personnel
  • Travels to power plants for onsite troubleshooting support
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 2+ years
