Position Specific Description

Employees in this role are responsible for identifying, developing, and supporting third-party sales opportunities for repair services, finished goods, and procured parts supporting wind and solar generation equipment. Individuals build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and industry stakeholders to generate new business and increase revenue. Employees travel extensively to customer locations, vendor facilities, trade shows, and industry conferences to promote products and services, identify customer needs, and develop sales opportunities. This role works closely with production, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure customer requirements are met and sales commitments are achieved.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for products, repair capabilities, and component applications.
  • Support customer discussions by providing technical guidance, product recommendations, and repair-versus-replacement evaluations.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to develop accurate scopes of work, technical proposals, and customer solutions.
  • Present product capabilities, repair processes, reliability improvements, and technical value propositions to customers.
  • Review customer requirements, failure data, and operational challenges to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technical support throughout the quoting and sales process to ensure solutions align with customer needs and operational requirements.
  • Assist in developing pricing support, repair assessments, and component evaluations using technical expertise and historical performance data.
  • Maintain working knowledge of fleet technologies, industry trends, component reliability, and repair methodologies.
  • Support customer visits, technical reviews, and site meetings as the product and repair expert.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to improve repair offerings, product support, and operational execution.

This role helps identify, progress, and close opportunities by understanding the customer’s business requirements, technical requirements, and the competitive landscape.  By applying business insights and deep subject matter expertise, employees build and maintain customer relationships, and incorporate what has been learned through the discovery process to design a solution that aligns with the business needs of the customer.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
  • Support technical discussions and solution design throughout the sales process in order to progress/close deals and build customer relationships
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical education, and proof of concepts
  • Provide input on proposals and draft scope of work
  • Maintain an understanding of the customer’s industry, including industry trends, industry business processes
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
