Position Specific Description

Under general supervision, position performs duties related to troubleshooting, repairing and testing of Wind Turbine technology electronic and mechanical components. Majority of time is spent troubleshooting, repairing and testing control circuits, power supplies and other electrical components at PCB level. Candidates must be able to read and comprehend drawings and schematics associated with electrical systems. Job may include other miscellaneous duties assigned.         

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Read and comprehend electrical drawings and schematics
  • Troubleshoot, repair and test Printed Circuit Boards
  • Troubleshoot, repair and test Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Troubleshoot, repair and test Large Circuit Breakers and Contactors
  • Experience using an Oscilloscope
  • Soldering experience
  • Associate’s in Applied Science Degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of training and experience. 

Job Overview

This position performs duties related to the troubleshooting, repairing, and testing of Wind Turbine technology electronic and mechanical components. Individuals are capable of performing at least three different electronic repairs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs duties related to troubleshooting, repairing and testing of Wind Turbine technology electronic and mechanical components
  • Uses a variety of light and heavy hand and power tools, meggers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and tests control circuits, power supplies, and other electrical components
  • Works from simple drawings, blueprints, or sketches
  • Travels to various sites to support maintenance and repair activities as required
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Experience: 0+ years

  • Associate’s Degree
