Position Specific Description

The Technical Support Supervisor will be responsible for managing all aspects of NextEra Analytics technical and software support efforts to ensure the highest levels of reliability are maintained for company systems and products. This individual will work with all parts of the organization to achieve this goal. Close interaction with the product engineering teams to help improve supportability of all NextEra Analytics products will also be required. Additionally, this individual will evaluate processes and services to create a productive team that can handle multiple products. They will work closely with the NextEra Analytics Customer Support team to reliably transition issues and ensure the customer is updated accordingly. This individual should be able to effectively report technical updates and priorities to the leadership team during normal operations and during active incident response situations. During production issues, this leader will engage their team to efficiently work with customer support to diagnose and resolve the issue, providing timeline updates throughout the process.

 

Providing software development support for existing products is required. You will not be expected to be on call, but urgent issues may require after-hours support.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing engineering and technical support management while leading a team of software engineers in support
  • Excellent communication of challenges and timelines effectively across teams and to leadership
  • Management of priorities and timelines, and coordination of hotfix releases with product teams
  • Exposure to working on or with a technical support organization
  • Understanding of Python, AWS, Terraform, and Gitlab Pipelines
  • 5+ years in a software engineering role
  • 3+ years managing team members

Job Overview

Leaders in this role are responsible for overseeing a group of software development engineers involved in design, implementation, and delivery of software development projects. The position will interact with all business units in WindLogics and will work in all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering and refinement, system design, implementation and testing. This job is responsible for key strategic technology, platform and development process decisions, as well as allocation of resources.

  • Captures customer requirements
  • Develops and reviews application architecture
  • Ensures proper control and QA of delivered products
  • Provides software development support for existing products
  • Directs, plans and schedules the work amongst the engineers on the team
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience: 6+ years
