Position Specific Description

The Product Manager is an integral part of the NextEra 360 commercial team, providing energy SaaS solutions to C&I customers and utilities.  NextEra manages $130B+ worth of renewable assets and NextEra 360 was created to improve NextEra's own asset performance. Today we’re bringing NextEra 360 to market as an end-to-end energy management solution, helping customers increase operational efficiency and reduce costs in their energy ecosystems.


Reporting to the Senior Director, Software Solutions, the Product Manager is an integral “hub” between the commercial and technical teams.  As product owner, this role is accountable for the NextEra 360 product roadmap, lifecycle product plans and financial performance metrics.  The Product Manager will interface closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations and Implementation to design and deploy profitable solutions.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate competencies in software product management, customer engagement, technology, pricing, competitive intelligence and market intelligence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as product owner for NextEra 360, accountable for the product roadmap, lifecycle plans and technical specifications.
  • Routinely interface with clients, in partnership with Sales and Technical Sales, to gather Voice of Customer and market intelligence, ensuring product specifications align with industry requirements. 
  • Anticipate industry trends to develop and deploy differentiated solutions.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Solution Leads to pace product design, development and deployment.  Own new product introductions.
  • Own product pricing, in close partnership with Service and Implementation teams.  Establish cost models and ensure financial metrics (e.g. revenue, margin) are achieved.
  • Become an expert on market and competitive intelligence, including product positioning, technical capabilities and pricing strategies.
  • Routinely train Sales, Technical Sales and Customer Success on messaging, empowering the teams to speak to product features and customer business outcomes.
  • In partnership with Marketing, support development of collateral materials, messaging and go-to-market plans.


Preferred Qualifications

5+ years experience in Software/SaaS Product Management

Bachelor’s Degree
