Position Specific Description

Employees in this role provide the strategic groundwork for the successful implementation of company policies, initiatives, and objectives (expansion, development, etc.) by raising awareness and advocacy to the local governmental, business, and general communities, and through the coordination of the internal and external customers.
This role involves navigating issues to comply with company policies, including the change and interpretation of policies. Individuals are responsible for the early detection and resolution of issues that prevent or limit the company’s financial exposure to penalties and fines (violation notices and citations), and protect company investments (nuclear cost recovery, rate case). This position will be based in North Florida and covering the counties of Clay, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns.

Employees in this senior-level role develop and maintain a favorable relationship with the communities surrounding our development projects and coordinate programs to promote good will by disseminating information to the community and soliciting feedback from residents.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identifies local stakeholders and Community Groups critical to project success
  • Represents the company at community gatherings or forums
  • Identifies and understands local and state regulatory/permitting requirements
  • Coordinates with municipalities, governmental, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with permitting requirements
  • Provides guidance to the Development team on permitting and regulatory timing constraints
  • Travels extensively
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
