Position Specific Description

This position is located at Seabrook Station in Seabrook, New Hampshire. 

Responsible for engineering tasks, develops modifications, and performs engineering design calculations and evaluations in accordance with industry standards, which requires plant engineering experience and application of engineering principles. Minimum of Two (2) years related experience. Works independently with under the supervisory review of more experienced engineers on tasks that require knowledge and experience with nuclear industry standards and regulations. Can effectively communicate and demonstrate the potential to develop into the lead role in a group situation to resolve problems or coordinate design production.  The positions will also function as the corrective action coordinator for the Site Engineering Technical Response Group.

Job Overview

This job performs activities in support of engineering operations and project completion. Employees in this role conduct engineering root cause analysis and develop cost effective countermeasures. Individuals also perform engineering fundamental activities to support operations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs engineering/analytical tasks to develop reliable, cost effective recommendations
  • Uses advanced computer models to develop and study solution feasibility
  • Prepares engineering documentation and assists with technical support for licensing and other regulatory proceedings
  • Ensures procured materials and services meet engineering specifications 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's – Engineering
  • Experience: 2+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
