Position Specific Description

This position is located at Seabrook Station in Seabrook, NH.

Job Overview

Under supervision, assists with loading, unloading, recording, labeling, storing, issuing, inspecting and cataloging Station components, parts, consumable or other materials associated with the stores and inventory system of Seabrook Station.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists with loading and unloading trucks and utilizes forklifts to support and/or perform receiving of materials (i.e. verifying items to packing slip, Material Request (MR) and Purchase Orders (PO)
  • Assists with utilizing electronic data processing equipment to ensure proper receipt, storage and issuance of materials
  • Documents shipping damage and the condition of items received utilizing appropriate forms.  Picks up and delivers materials to the Station using company vehicles.  Performs filing and maintains appropriate inventory records
  • Recommends changes in inventory to ensure appropriate levels of stock are available at all times
  • Assists in maintaining shelves stocked with appropriate material and in ensuring proper identification, climatic conditions, and inspection/maintenance
  • Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of detailed programs and procedures for the stores and inventory department.  Becomes familiar with codes, standards, regulations, programs and procedures associated with the stores and inventory function
  • Operates forklift and other equipment associated with the stores function.  Picks up and delivers materials to the Station using Company vehicles
  • Assists in the physical inventory and in performing detailed and/or special inspections, verifications and testing as assigned
  • Performs and/or assists in performing the daily activities of the stores and inventory department as assigned which includes receipt, issuance, storage, cataloging, inspection and verification of Station materials, components, test and laboratory equipment
  • Assists with implementing the Quality Assurance Program as it applies to the stores and inventory function.
  • Required to be a member of the Seabrook Station Emergency Response Organization (ERO), when assigned, and to adhere to all related requirements specified in the Seabrook Station Radiological Emergency Plan.  These requirements include, but are not limited to, maintaining applicable ERO position qualifications, participation in drills and exercises, and responding to an actual emergency (including radiological)
  • Required to participate in major outages, when assigned, by performing a designated outage position, and maintaining required training qualifications.  An outage assignment may involve shiftwork and/or working extended hours outside of normal schedule
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or the equivalent education
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training in warehouse organization or stores management
  • Stock handling or warehousing experience
