Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is facilitating the clean energy transition by providing financing options for homeowners seeking to go solar.  

We are seeking a well-qualified candidate who is passionate about driving the clean energy revolution by building a best-in-class residential financing program.  As a Solar PV Designer, you will be asked to:

  • Prepare residential photovoltaic (PV) solar designs using our proprietary software
  • Coordinate with sales and installation partners to develop the right system for each client

 

Job Overview

This position will be responsible for designing photovoltaic and energy storage systems for residential homes.  This role will require gaining a deep understanding of the residential solar industry and applying this knowledge to the intricacies of creating the appropriate systems based on installer and homeowner requirements.

 

Job Duties

  • Create residential PV solar designs using our proprietary software adhering to strict service level agreements
  • Coordinate with sales and installation partners to develop the right system for each client
  • Prioritize conflicting work requests and escalations

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solar design experience
  • A positive attitude and are passionate about solar energy
  • The ability to work independently, as well as work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving

Job Overview

Employees in this position are responsible for creating visually engaging communication to support a variety of business needs. This job creates graphic designs and animations that help explain complex issues for internal/external audiences.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Captures video and supports Audio Visual (AV) needs for corporate-wide events and projects
  • Operates satellite uplink equipment to deliver key corporate messages to various audiences
  • Acts as the subject-matter expert of emerging technologies for the department 
  • Works as an video editor works with visual content to create final products in support of campaigns/projects 
  • Acts videographer capturing visual content for use in a variety of internal/external channels 
  • Acts as an animation artist, digital graphic designer, visual storyteller, video producer, and as an audio/visual technician in support of campaigns/projects
  • Requires travel both within Florida and throughout the United States
  • Meets attendance and storm duty requirements and has the ability to work extended hours if necessary
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED 
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience    
  • Experience: 0+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
