Position Specific Description

The NEER Mobility team was formed in 2021 following the acquisition of eIQ Mobility.  The Mobility team is rapidly expanding to keep pace with the transition to Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV).  We are combining the best-in-class fleet assessment services of eIQ Mobility with the energy expertise of the world’s largest renewable energy developer to create infrastructure-as-a-service offerings for commercial fleets looking to decarbonize their fleets.


As we expand our offerings, we are looking for a veteran from the fleet management software space to lead our software product management.  Initially, this role would have one direct report product manager who manages our eiQ EValuate product and our new REVeal product.


Position Specific Description

NEER Mobility is seeking a well-qualified candidate who is passionate about driving the clean energy revolution by accelerating the electrification of commercial and public fleets.  To do this, we need a software product lead who will help marry our deep energy markets, renewables and energy management expertise with the demands of commercial fleets and their existing fleet management partners.


As a Senior Product Manager at NEER’s Mobility business, you will be asked to:

  • Build and manage the software product management function including establishing best practices for benchmarking, collecting voice of the customer, interfacing with engineering, business development and other product teams across the organization,
  • Manage, train and mentor product managers
  • Use analytical abilities and rigorous thinking to work cross-functionally, determine highest priority new features and tenaciously drive those projects forward
  • Work closely with customers and other NextEra and external partner teams to develop smart and creative software solutions to the problems our customers face and ensure NextEra is delivering the best software possible
  • Project manage all aspects of software development, including customer research, feature design, mock-up and user story creation, engineering development, launch and growth, and key metrics development and reporting


Job Overview

This position will be responsible for driving all aspects of software development that will serve commercial and public fleet customers as well as utility, muni and coop customers.  companies using Sighten software to design, sell, finance, and install projects.  This role will require gaining a deep understanding of the solar, energy storage, and energy efficiency industries, and applying this knowledge to the intricacies of designing and developing software.


Job Duties

  • Manage, train and mentor a team of product managers
  • Own product roadmap and co-ordination with upper level management on prioritization
  • Work closely with customers to identify customer and market needs
  • Define user personas, problem statements, and use cases pertaining to areas of new software development
  • Run collaborative design sessions with technical leads and software engineers
  • Write detailed user stories, create workflow documents, wireframes and mockups
  • Work cross-functionally with our full stack developers, designers, sales, and operations to successfully deliver new platform features and services
  • Prioritize and groom the development backlog for each sprint, working directly with the engineering team to ensure on-time delivery of business critical features, small enhancements, and bug fixes
  • Define, track, and interpret key metrics to measure overall product and customer success
  • Be an active participant and leader in an Agile/SCRUM environment

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understands customer lifecycle and researches, tests, and launches new products and services
  • Develops and launches campaigns to create and close more viable sales/leads by product/service
  • Designs and launches sales support materials to support new product/service launch
  • Conducts ongoing market, product, pricing, and customer analysis to identify trends and opportunities
  • Gathers and analyzes VOC (voice of the customer) on products/services
  • Plans, develops, and executes strategic marketing plan to drive profitable growth
  • Conducts and oversees market, product, competitive, and customer research activities to understand customer needs, growth opportunities, and trends
  • Leads the Product Launch Process and develop a strong pipeline to meet growth targets
  • Performs rigorous channel testing, completes analysis, and shares results with critical team members
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience: 5+ years

  • Master’s - Business Administration
