Position Specific Description

Gexa Energy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Operations and Strategy Director to support analysis and strategy on projects in the C&I Power and Gas team. This role will report directly to the Sr. Director of Strategy & Analytics team and will play a critical part in shaping the future of our business through strategic financial analysis, business performance optimization, and long-term planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management consulting, finance, and strategy, with preferred qualifications such as CPA and CFA. Employee needs the ability to quickly and accurately identify issues or trends via analysis and provide improvement opportunities in area of responsibility resulting in reduction of cost, optimization of revenue, and process improvements. Able to prioritize requests and ensure timeliness required. 

 

Job Overview

This position is responsible for using business management consulting skills to work with internal clients through all stages of strategy-based transformation engagements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing thought leadership and execution support on client assignments to craft strategy and then refocus an organization on making that strategy a reality
  • Consulting with clients to identify, clarify, and solve problems critical to clients' strategic and operating success by developing insight, conducting independent analysis, and working with clients to assure assignment progress
  • Developing conclusions and recommendations, writing reports, assisting in client presentations and providing implementation assistance as required
  • Presenting to senior executives • Constructing the analytical framework and work steps for each assignment, and leading the problem solving associated
  • Conducting both client and market development to grow the business
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 10+ years
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 4+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
