Position Specific Description

In this role you will be involved in managing and coordinating specialized substation/distribution testing which will involve field work both in Florida and out of state (NEXTERA).

  • You will be developing and coordinating product evaluations and forensic evaluations at the Reliability Assurance Center (RAC)
  • Preparing and leading training activities
  • Participating on or leading cross functional teams when necessary.
  • Providing Technical contribution to; or preparing the Technical Services Quarterly News line.
  • You will be reviewing with the SME’s in Jupiter West what appropriate prototype testing or specific additions should be added to specification to assure that FPL & NEXTERA are provided with the lowest cost most reliable product.
  • Here you will have the opportunity to develop a diverse skill set and understandings of equipment, product evaluation, forensic analysis, field and lab testing activities, and managing interesting corporate level projects.

This position conducts analysis on system performance and reliability strategy and provides recommendations.

•   Provides engineering, design and environmental support
•   Tracks and reports on project negotiations and performance
•   Delivers company standards, policies, training, and support of organization
•   Prepares communications, presentations and provides support at meetings
•   Formulates researches, and develops improvement measures
•   Works with other departments within the organization to establish customer requirements and project costs
•   Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
•   Ability to work extended hours
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


•  Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
•  High School Grad / GED
•  Bachelor's - Engineering
•  Experience:5+ years

Preferred Qualifications


•  Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
•  Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
•  Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
•  Master's Degree
•  Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
•  Six Sigma Master Black Belt
