Position Specific Description

As an engineer on the Demand Side Operations team in FPL you will: Create and maintain strategic vision documentation through collaboration with business unit leadership, Develop a network of internal and external thought-leaders to bring new concepts and opportunities to the business unit and Use creative and innovative analysis and problem-solving thinking to drive DERMS initiatives that will shape the future of electric energy utilization.

  • Employees in this role will conduct operational analysis and contribute to develop the long term DERMS evolution.
  • Conducts analysis and create and prepare reports to support the operation of DERMS programs
  • Work on developing the future behind the meter technologies to support DERMS programs
  • Operate and maintain the platforms needed to support the business operations.
  • Conducts quantitative and qualitative research to support projects and business operations.
  • Assists with process design and modification for continuous business improvement.
  • Visit Commercial/Industrial customer locations, audit, and test FPL’s Load Control circuit installations.
  • This is not a comprehensive list of duties; other activities may be assigned.
  • Work schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, M-F, some overtime and occasional travel may be required

 

The Ideal Candidate will possess the following:

  • Tech savvy person, familiar with Salesforce, good knowledge of o365, vba, PBI, scripting languages and database querying methodologies
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with low voltage electric circuits (up to 120V AC/DC)

Job Overview

Employees in this role are responsible for performing a broad scope of engineering assignments of moderate difficulty requiring knowledge in engineering-related disciplines.

  • Conducts independent studies and analysis, and provides interpretations and conclusions
