Position Specific Description

In this position, employees will use work experience, knowledge and industry accepted practices to approach a broad variety of assignments and related fields on the high voltage DC (HVDC) system. Training on the HVDC system will be provided as part of the HVDC qualification program. Individuals will plan and complete work requiring engineering judgment in selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. In this position you will work independently to perform most assignments but will coordinate work with operations staff to facilitate project completion and assist in training of system operators. This position has responsibility for maintaining NERC operations and planning compliance for various subject area such as facility ratings, transmission operations and oversight of transmission planning.


This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This position conducts analysis on system performance and reliability strategy and provides recommendations.

•   Prepares communications, presentations and provides support at meetings
•   Formulates researches, and develops improvement measures
•   Works with other departments within the organization to establish customer requirements and project costs
•   Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements
•   Ability to work extended hours
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
•  Bachelor's - Engineering
•  Experience:5+ years

Preferred Qualifications

•  Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
•  Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
•  Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
•  Master's Degree
•  Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
•  Six Sigma Master Black Belt


The base pay for this position is $92,000.00 to $138,000.00 per year. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
