Position Specific Description
Florida Power & Light Company is looking for a Storekeeper 1 to join their team in Pensacola, FL.
Job Overview
The Storekeeper I will perform any work normally required in this classification, including but not limited to ordering, receiving, stocking, picking, issuing, counting, rigging, shipment preparation, along with maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment that is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Storekeeper must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving history.
- He/she must also be able to walk, lift, carry, and pull heavy objects, use hand tools, operate a portable band-saw, work in extreme weather conditions and operate multiple motorized equipment (i.e. forklifts and stock pickers). He/she must have the ability to work at heights of approximately 30+ feet, have good depth perception, and physically be able to wear a safety harness.
- He/she must be dependable, able to work with minimal supervision, be self-motivated, pay attention to details, and exhibit Our Values behavior in all business dealings.
- He/she must have a working knowledge of Warehouse Management software, along with understanding the inventory replenishment process.
- This person must exhibit the ability to learn multiple computer software programs utilized to transfer and manage inventory.
- This person must have a positive, can-do attitude regarding work assignments and interactions with other people.
- They must provide as needed weekend, after hours, holiday or callout support.
- He/she must be a team player, work well with teammates, and be willing to assist when asked.
- He/she must have the ability to communicate with vendors over the phone and other software while exhibiting a professional attitude.
A successful applicant must live within a reasonable distance from their designated reporting location or relocate such that they do live within a reasonable distance.
Required Qualification
- A valid license
- Ability to walk, climb ladders, lift, carry, and pull heavy objects, use hand tools, work in extreme weather conditions and operate multiple motorized equipment (i.e. forklift, stock pickers, and 4-way directional lifts)
- Ability to work at heights 20+ feet, have good depth perception, and physically be able to wear a safety harness
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, be self-motivated, pay attention to detail in all business dealings
