Position Specific Description

Join our Cloud Financial Operations team as an intern to gain hands-on experience in managing and optimizing cloud costs across our AWS infrastructure. This role offers exposure to cloud economics, potential application development, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced energy sector environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing AWS spending patterns and cost trends
  • Support cost optimization initiatives by identifying underutilized resources and rightsizing opportunities
  • Help create dashboards and reports to track cloud financial metrics
  • Participate in monthly cloud cost reviews and budget planning sessions
  • Research AWS pricing models and improve existing cost management tools
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand resource usage and recommend cost-effective solutions
  • Support the development of cloud governance policies and best practices

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or related field
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS knowledge preferred but not required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with data visualization tools a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn about cloud financial management and emerging technologies

Job Overview

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists department with assigned projects
  • Completes challenging projects and assignments
  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school grad / GED
  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
