Position Specific Description

As a Data Systems Specialist within the Power Generation Division (PGD) department, on the Renewable Operations Intergration (ROI) team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our data systems onboarding and user interfaces, crucial for our operational success and customer satisfaction. Your work will directly impact our mission to deliver reliable and efficient energy solutions through innovative technology and processes.


In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with our Lead Project Manager, Engineering and Construction, IT specialists and many other critical business units to streamline the onboarding processes for Business Intelligence (BI) systems, ensuring efficient integration and performance. Your expertise will be vital in managing and improving Maximo hierarchies, validating Ignition and support of Grafana screens for SCADA/Enterprise wide information systems integration, and enhancing the quality and reliability of our data systems. This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to significant projects like Solar Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Distributed Generation (DG), and more, providing technical solutions that align with our strategic objectives.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting in the development and management of Maximo hierarchies and assets for various sites, ensuring seamless system integration.
  • Validating performance and support main stakeholders/SMEs in seamless integration of Ignition and Grafana screens, contributing to system efficiency and reliability.
  • Supporting the Distributed Generation data systems onboarding process, addressing daily operational challenges, and managing contract resources for smooth workflow management.
  • Collaborating on cost management and technology deployment tasks to ensure resource efficiency and speeding up SCADA integration.
  • Contributing to process improvements, operational excellence, and the development of training documents for business continuity.
  • Engaging in cross-functional coordination to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement in system performance and reliability.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years in IT project management or system integration.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, EWIS, Maximo, Ignition, and Grafana or similar data systems.
  • Proven ability to manage complex technical projects and streamline processes for efficiency.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments.
  • Experience in energy sector IT projects is highly desirable.
