Position Specific Description

FPL is seeking a highly-motivated Senior MuleSoft Developer who is detail-oriented and growth-focused. This position will be part of the Power Delivery IT (PDIT) team working on Salesforce/MuleSoft initiatives in support of Power Delivery Business Unit.

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate their ability to think strategically and be innovative while working in an agile and collaborative team-oriented environment. The candidate must be comfortable working with analysts, developers, DevOps, and architects across multiple teams to collaboratively design creative solutions to complex problems. The candidate will support in proactively ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability, stability, scalability, and performance. Must have intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn new skills and technologies along with an excellent work ethic and great communication skills.

 

The Salesforce product suite includes SF Field Service, Community Portal, mobile features, Scheduling, and Maps. MuleSoft integrations are utilized heavily in enabling solutions that deliver business value to meet business objectives. Specifically, the Power Delivery business unit is looking to use Field Service to manage, schedule and execute the work of up to 10k field crews doing a variety of work in the state.

 

Technical Skills
• 4+ years’ experience working on MuleSoft Development
• Good understanding of SOA and integration patterns and Experience with implementing Application Programming Interface (API) security patterns.
• Extensive experience in integrating with Salesforce.
• Understanding business requirements with unit testing, deploying, monitoring, and correcting integrations of APIs.
• Implementing and consuming REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience in integrations using MuleSoft ESB over Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Platform, Cloud-Hub, On premise, Runtime Fabric, API Gateway and management, Munit, CI/CD architecture using GitHub Devops, including SonarQube and Jenkins.
• Create RAML Specifications as API contracts for development.
• Understand and implement dataweave scripts to query and transform data.
• Writing Dataweave expressions to transform data, Control message content, flow, and processing by selecting and implementing appropriate connectors, routers, scopes, and filters.
• Practice API-Led Connectivity
• Implement Basic Policies in API Manager
• Experience with Policy, Logging, Auditing and Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting.
• Configuring and deploying Mule applications
• Create and configuring flows, sub flows, and flow processing strategies for reusability and performance.
• Troubleshooting complex production issues with APIs, identify source of the issue and work with the appropriate team to get the issue fixed.
• Handling Code review / development on MuleSoft platform
• Experience with Agile Development and Continuous Integration\Continuous Development tools.
• Knowledge of AWS and Splunk is considered as advantageous.

• Designing, develop and deploy MuleSoft integrations to connect various systems, applications and data sources.
• Create API specifications using RAML or OpenAPI specification.
• Integrate various systems and applications using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Provide estimates for development. 
• Develop custom connectors to extend the functionality of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Build and deploy APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Ensure the quality and performance of MuleSoft integrations and APIs.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues related to MuleSoft integrations and APIs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively or independently according to the scope of the project
• Take ownership of projects and manage statuses and timelines effectively.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•  Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, customizes and enhances existing or new systems

•  Applies appropriate Agile or development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools, and technology

•  Automates the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps)

•  Participates in the change management and  service ticket management processes, including receiving, resolution monitoring and ensuring customer satisfaction

•  Leads projects when needed and builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered

•  Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems

•  Designs, develops and  tests experimental application work to test new ideas with bounded cost and time frames

•  Ensures that applications processes are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, security, compliance, environmental, and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation

•  Acts as liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems as required

•  Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed

•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

•  Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
