Position Specific Description

This role takes direction from the Service Delivery Manager and provides expertise and service support for their defined services. You enjoy working closely with customers and know how to manage customer relationships to achieve the best results. You are result-oriented, perform the assigned duties with high autonomy and commitment, and provide periodic updates to management. Planning and organizing are two of your strong characteristics, and you can see the big picture.

Role Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all Hybrid Compute Operations Services, including the handling and resolution of incidents, problem tickets, root cause analysis, and changes across production and non-production environments.
  • Capable of functioning as the single point of contact for their assigned services and providing operational support, technical expertise, escalations, logging, updating, and resolving calls.
  • Technically sound on the current and emerging technologies, which can comprehend the situational complexity and engage the right teams to address day-to-day service degradation issues and ensure timely restoration of technology services.
  • Suggest process improvements to increase our client’s service satisfaction and service delivery efficiency.
  • Communicate and keep our clients updated on progress through to the successful closure of their incidents.
  • Proactively share knowledge with Service Delivery Lead and other Service Delivery Engineers via creating and updating knowledge base articles, procedures, and working instructions for their assigned services.
  • Suggest and contribute to improving existing tasks and processes using current technologies by supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Works closely with the internal business units and external vendors as required to manage cross-functional prioritization, operational service continuity issues, risk identification, and mitigation.
  • Facilitate operational service governance meetings.

Job Overview

This position installs, configures, and maintains computing infrastructure, operating systems, and middleware products on all computer platforms, including mainframes, workstations, and servers - including web servers - in support of 24-hour-per-day, seven-day-per-week business processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•  Evaluates, implements, and modifies operating system software parameters and product solutions for optimum performance

•  Identifies integration and other interface requirements for all supported products and platforms

•  Serves as a technical escalation point for technicians and customers

•  Troubleshoots hardware, system and application issues

•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•  High School Grad / GED

•  Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience

•  Experience: 4+ years

Preferred Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s Degree
