Position Specific Description
This position is part of the growing Third-Party O&M Services Team within the Renewable Operations Integration organization of NextEra Energy’s Power Generation Division. The Project Manager works with Development, Legal, Operations, Engineering, Business Management, Information Technology, external site owners, and subject matter experts across the organization to lead new O&M services opportunities and support the operating portfolio. Responsibilities include project planning and execution, deal structuring and pricing, commercial negotiations, financial modeling and analysis, customer requests, governance, performance reporting, and process improvement. The role also develops portfolio insights, key performance indicators, dashboards, and recommendations for senior leadership.
The ideal candidate is commercially minded, detail-oriented, and skilled in project management, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement. The individual should be able to lead cross-functional initiatives with limited supervision, build consensus in a matrixed environment, and make timely, accurate, fact-based decisions. Success requires creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, flexibility, and the ability to manage uncertainty, competing priorities, unanticipated deliverables, and tight deadlines. Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint is expected; experience with SAP Financial and BOBJ is preferred.
Position Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of new O&M services projects and contracting activities from early-stage evaluation through agreement execution, establishing scope, schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder responsibilities.

Coordinate financial modeling, cost estimates, P&L analysis, pricing, and deal-structure recommendations for new opportunities and the operating portfolio.

Support commercial negotiations and execution of O&M Services Agreements with Legal, Development, internal business partners, and external customers.

Serve as the primary liaison for cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams, facilitating decisions, resolving issues, maintaining alignment, and communicating project status.

Extract, organize, analyze, and translate operational and financial data into actionable insights and recommendations for business decisions.

Prepare plans and forecasts, compare results with budgets and prior forecasts, and identify key drivers, variances, risks, and opportunities.

Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, project trackers, reporting tools, and standardized processes supporting Third-Party O&M Services.

Develop KPIs and Power BI dashboards that provide portfolio visibility and support senior leadership decision-making.

Prepare and deliver concise PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, recommendations, and other communications for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Lead process improvement and automation initiatives using Six Sigma principles to improve quality, efficiency, controls, and scalability.

Ensure compliance with Power Generation Division guardrails, governance standards, internal controls, and applicable approval requirements; identify and mitigate control weaknesses.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external site owners, and customers, responding promptly to requests and supporting commercial issue resolution.

Perform ad hoc financial and operational analyses and other job-related duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Would Have The Following:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business management, or a related field; master’s degree or CFA designation is preferred.

Two or more years of relevant experience in project management, commercial contracting, financial analysis, operations, or a related field.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in a matrixed organization and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, and use of business intelligence and reporting tools.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint; experience with SAP Financial and BOBJ is preferred.

Strong commercial acumen and ability to evaluate complex problems, balance competing interests, and make sound recommendations.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation, influencing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build productive relationships.

Six Sigma certification at the Yellow Belt level or higher is preferred.
