Position Specific Description

This position will support several projects in the wind turbine performance team.  The selected candidate will be responsible for managing projects of varying scope and will support the team in the development of analytical capabilities to assess wind turbine performance.

 

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Responsible for project management activities in support of wind turbine performance projects
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to identify project requirements and define project scope  
  • Define project activities, develop baseline schedules and monitors progress
  • Develop project budgets and controls costs
  • Supports the development and programming of analytical models with emphasis in energy generation and operational reliability of wind turbines
  • Supports the development of graphical interfaces for data post-processing and generation of automated reports
  • Provides reports on project status to project owners and stakeholders
  • Schedules and conducts meetings with project teams and project owners

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 7 years relevant duties experience working in wind renewables projects with an engineering or operations scope.
  • 5 years of experience working in cross-functional teams or experience in project management
  • Understanding of wind turbine technology, wind turbine design and/or wind turbine operations
  • Skillful at managing complexity, managing execution, and communicating effectively

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Previous experience on wind turbine power characterization per the IEC 61400-12-1
  • Understanding of SoDAR and/or LiDAR technology for wind applications
  • Experience with Python, R studio, PowerBI Dashboards, and SCADA systems
