Position Specific Description We are looking for a hands-on, Technical Product Manager/Sr. Application Developer to lead the development and maintenance of the portfolio of products for Smart Grid Product Solutions. This is a technical management position that requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in managing large-scale, high-quality and high-availability software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and experience in software engineering, product management, and the energy industry. Essential Skills • Strong experience and success in implementing and leading an agile product delivery operation/ • Strong technical expertise in full stack software engineering, including software design, development, testing, and DevOps. • Experience with agile development operations such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean Startup. • Experience with product strategy and road mapping, using techniques such as design thinking or lean canvas. • Expert in AWS cloud-based technologies and services. • Experience with Automated Meter Infrastructure solutions, specifically Itron Hardware, Network, Products and Solutions. • Adept at creative solution development; driven to innovate, automate and continuous improvement. • Ability to decompose business and technical requests into meaningful capabilities and processes • Excellent communication skills. • Successfully demonstrated leadership and influential skills in a complex organization. • Leads with a strong cyber security, quality, ownership, and continuous improvement mindset. This position can sit in either our new Palm Beach Gardens, Plantation, or Doral, FL office and the team is on a hybrid schedule (2-3x per week onsite).

This position develops and integrates new or existing applications into the technical infrastructure and existing business processes. Employees in this role provide senior-level technical or functional guidance, analysis, and coding to project or work teams, as needed within a specific discipline. Employees at this level contribute to high-value strategic projects, guide and mentor other employees and are typically recognized as company and/or industry experts.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides cutting-edge technical and/or functional contributions to application development teams
- Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains and/or enhances existing or new systems, that are reliable and efficient
- Develops customized programming solutions, and maintains existing system functionality
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, and prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written
- Applies appropriate development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools and technology
- Collaborates on an on-going basis with the Business Systems Analyst
- Participates in the ticket management and resolution processes, including receiving, resolution monitoring and customer satisfaction
- Leads large projects when needed
- Provides direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff
- Builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 8+ years
