Position Specific Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join the Power Generation Division’s (PGD) EOSS Wind Reliability team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for consulting and collaborating with a team of engineers and technical professionals specializing in asset performance and data infrastructure. As such, the individual in this role will be the product owner of the Wind Business Intelligence (WBI) platform and accountable for the availability and quality of wind site performance data used for enterprise-wide reporting and data insights. Interpersonal skills are essential to foster continued collaboration with top level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies for growth and improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering/technical complexities, determining program objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects
  • Develops standards and guidelines for diverse Information Technology (IT) activities
  • Consult with engineers and technical professionals responsible for data infrastructure and ensure their work is aligned with organizational goals and objectives, including collaboration with external partners and auditors
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Focus on advanced automated IT processes and data availability improvements
  • Understand PGD data pipeline and answer questions on needed enhancements
  • Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in engineering, science, or a related field
  • Experience with project management and budgeting tools and platforms

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Six Sigma Certified – Green Belt
  • Six Sigma Certified – Black Belt or Master Black Belt
  • Master’s Degree – Engineering
  • Working knowledge of JIRA
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Working knowledge of Maximo
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Office platforms, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Python or comparable programming language
  • Renewable energy experience
