Position Specific Description
This role works within FPL's IT Operations organization, helping optimize reliability and security of systems. You enjoy working closely with customers and know how to manage customer relationships to achieve the best results. You are result-oriented, perform the assigned duties with high autonomy and commitment, and provide periodic updates to management. Planning and organizing are two of your strong characteristics, and you can see the big picture. Role Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Job Overview
This position oversees provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, customer support, and maintenance of systems hardware, infrastructure application software, and related infrastructure. Employees in this role participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Individuals ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, infrastructure applications, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Assists project teams with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases of new projects
• Applies in-depth knowledge and experience in own discipline while continuing to acquire and develop higher-level knowledge and skills
• Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve services
• Builds in-depth knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers
• Solves complex problems while applying judgment and discretion
• Analyzes possible solutions creatively
• Acts as a resource for colleagues, offering instruction, guidance, and direction to others
• Directs the work of other staff members, when needed
• Serves as a technical escalation point for technicians and customers
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 6+ years
