Position Specific Description
The Principal Architect, Infrastructure Automation and Application Load Balancing will lead the design, engineering, and implementation of infrastructure automation and application load balancing solutions across the enterprise. This role will help establish Infrastructure as Code practices within the team and drive the adoption of automation across infrastructure platforms, including compute, storage, virtualization, operating systems, cloud, and application load balancing. This position will also provide architecture and engineering leadership for the application load balancing environment, primarily supporting F5 BIG-IP load balancers and AWS Application Load Balancers. Experience with Google Cloud Platform and F5 Distributed Cloud Services is preferred but not required. The role requires a hands-on technical leader who can develop standards, design solutions, work across teams, and communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership. This position is based in the Palm Beach Gardens office and is an in-person role. Responsibilities and Duties Lead the design and implementation of Infrastructure as Code and automation solutions across enterprise infrastructure platforms. Establish standards, patterns, and reusable frameworks for infrastructure automation. Use tools such as Terraform and Ansible to deploy, configure, and maintain infrastructure services. Support automation efforts across compute, storage, virtualization, operating systems, cloud platforms, and application load balancing. Provide architecture and engineering support for F5 BIG-IP and AWS Application Load Balancer environments. Work with subject matter experts across infrastructure, cloud, application, security, and operations teams to design and implement solutions. Participate in architecture reviews and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and operational needs. Develop technical roadmaps, solution designs, implementation plans, and supporting documentation. Provide hands-on engineering support for key automation and load balancing initiatives. Create executive-ready presentations and communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership. Lead technical workstreams and provide direction to direct or indirect project team members as needed. Support agile delivery practices, project planning, prioritization, and execution. Promote standardization, documentation, automation, and continuous improvement across the environment. Required Skills and Experience Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, infrastructure automation, and configuration management. Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools. Experience deploying and managing infrastructure across compute, storage, virtualization, operating systems, cloud, and related platforms. Experience with application load balancing technologies, preferably F5 BIG-IP and AWS Application Load Balancers. Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure architecture, engineering, and operations. Ability to design reliable, secure, scalable, and supportable infrastructure solutions. Experience working with architects, engineers, operations teams, application teams, security teams, and business stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level presentations. Experience participating in architecture review or technical governance processes. Ability to lead technical initiatives from design through implementation. Familiarity with agile delivery practices and project management approaches. Ability to provide technical direction, mentoring, and project leadership as needed. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with Google Cloud Platform infrastructure or load balancing services. Experience with F5 Distributed Cloud Services. Experience building reusable Terraform modules, Ansible playbooks, automation pipelines, or infrastructure service catalogs. Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated infrastructure deployment practices. Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments. Experience with infrastructure monitoring, security, compliance, and operational governance. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications in cloud, infrastructure automation, networking, F5, AWS, Google Cloud, Terraform, Ansible, VMware, or related technologies are preferred. Work Location This role is based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and is expected to be performed in person.

- Coaches, mentors, and leads technical subject matters experts to enable and drive consistency across technology architectures
- Designs and owns governance, assurance, and standards activities for enterprise technology architecture compliance
- Oversees and facilitates the evaluation, risk assessment, selection, and design of hardware and software technology and product standards
- Delivers technology architecture artifacts, possibly including reference architectures or concepts of operation
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
