Position Specific Description

The Renewables Center of Work Excellence is seeking an experienced professional to lead the transformation of our Renewables Central Maintenance analytics capabilities. This role will be 100% dedicated to Central Maintenance analytics, with an initial focus on modernizing our existing Power BI analytics environment using strong capabilities in Databricks.

 

This individual will serve as both a technical leader and a trusted business partner. They will work closely with Central Maintenance leadership, operational teams, and other stakeholders to identify the metrics that matter most, establish meaningful and consistent KPIs, and develop analytics that provide clear, actionable insights into maintenance performance.
The individual will join a collaborative, high-performing team with strong morale and will be expected to contribute positively to that culture while helping the team grow its Databricks and advanced analytics capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end overhaul and modernization of Renewables Central Maintenance analytics.
  • Help team members develop their Databricks knowledge and capabilities through hands-on collaboration, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Help assess existing reports, dashboards, data sources, and analytical processes to determine what should be retained, redesigned, consolidated, or retired.
  • Partner with Central Maintenance leaders, operational teams, and other stakeholders to define and standardize meaningful KPIs.
  • Develop scalable, reliable analytics solutions that improve visibility into maintenance performance and support better operational decision-making.
  • Create visualizations, genie spaces, and deploy data engineering with the help of the development operations team to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
  • Present analytical findings, trends, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Promote strong data governance, documentation, quality, and consistency across the Center of Work Excellence analytics environment.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate recurring analysis, and improve how maintenance data is used throughout the organization.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience developing and maintaining analytics solutions using Databricks
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with business and operational stakeholders to define requirements and develop meaningful KPIs.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and analytical concepts into clear business language.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success working collaboratively across teams and functions.
  • A team-oriented mindset and demonstrated ability to contribute positively to a collaborative work environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and the broader Databricks ecosystem.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
  • Experience with Python, PySpark, or similar analytics technologies.
  • Experience modernizing or rebuilding an established analytics or reporting environment.
  • Experience developing analytics for maintenance, asset management, reliability, operations, or renewable energy.
  • Familiarity with maintenance and reliability KPIs and concepts, but not required.
