Position Specific Description
This Central Maintenance Manager role leads the Projects Team supporting major projects across NextEra Energy primarily focused on Power Generation assets. The role is accountable for end-to-end project management from early development through execution and closeout ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost compliance. Qualifications: Experience leading major maintenance outages and/or large capital projects in power generation (combined cycle preferred); bachelor’s degree (Engineering/Construction Management) preferred. Leaders in this position have overall accountability for leading the Projects Team and coordinating internal and external resources to deliver project scopes with certainty. This role ensures disciplined project management across safety, environmental compliance, quality, schedule, and cost, and provides clear status, risk, and financial reporting to plant and Central Maintenance leadership.
Job Overview
Leaders in this position have overall management accountability for the team of maintenance specialists, technicians, engineers, and contractors involved in major maintenance activities. This position manages internal and external resources to Deliver Certainty in all disciplines of major maintenance activities to achieve objectives for: safety, environmental, quality, schedule, and cost compliance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Focuses on streamlining activities through the use of lean maintenance techniques and standardized processes and procedures
- Assumes overall accountability for internal employee development and performance management
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 8+ years
