Position Specific Description

This role involves overseeing real-time operations to ensure IT services align with business commitments and needs. The position requires on-site attendance with occasional off-shift and weekend work.


Key Responsibilities:

· Prioritize service restoration and incident response activities by effectively utilizing technical expertise and business knowledge, including:

· Network (WAN/LAN)

· Hybrid Compute

· Hybrid Cloud

· Maintain situational awareness of both internal and external environments and take ownership of change execution, including:

· Weather Events

· Business Priorities

· Staffing

· Manage all aspects of the Major Incident process, including declaration, executive communication, and overseeing technical remediation and restoration steps.

· Perform executive and leadership communication.

· Identify and promote monitoring, automation, and process enhancements based on IT best practices and ITIL principles.

· Drive improvements in complex hybrid IT infrastructures, encompassing both on-premises and cloud-based components.

· Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies and procedures to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems.

· Function as the single point of contact for service restoration.


Experience and Expertise:

· Minimum of 5-7 years of large enterprise IT experience, preferably in system administration, network engineering, or support roles.

· At least 2 years of experience managing service-based vendors.

· Experience partnering with business units to understand and deliver IT services.

· Expertise in vendor and service delivery management.

· Familiarity with the following platforms and technologies: ServiceNow, data backup/replication, disaster recovery, directory and authentication, infrastructure platforms (AWS and Azure), server and storage infrastructure (Linux, Windows, AIX, VMware, Citrix, ECS, Nutanix, Cisco UCS, PowerMax, IBM Power, etc.).

· Ability to work independently as a thought leader.

· Strong multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management skills.

· Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

· Team player with a positive, "can do" attitude.

· Proven organizational and planning skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively with other internal departments.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Overview

This position establishes strategy, develops business plans, and oversees and leads in the design, development and implementation of technology solutions to meet business needs. Leaders in this role provide leadership and oversight to manage performance and results in one or more Information Technology (IT) disciplines. Individuals will be accountable for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, influence, vision, and direction to the organization to contribute to achieving the company's goals
  • Works with IT leaders to develop overall IT strategy in alignment with business strategy
  • Oversees value stream by focusing on cost and risks of technology portfolio to meet business needs
  • Supports and fosters innovative technologies to deliver new ideas that enable business transformation
  • Ensures high levels of ongoing system and application performance in production environments
  • Oversees development of processes and tools to automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
  • Attracts, develops and retains a high-performing and diverse team
  • Establishes and drives technology roadmaps that align with current and future business needs
  • Manages third party technical and outsourcing relationships to deliver project and operational support objectives
  • Ensures technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 7+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
