Position Specific Description
Florida Power & Light Company is the largest energy company in the U.S. as measured by retail electricity produced and sold. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy, which has been ranked No. 1 in the electric and gas utilities industry in Fortune’s 2020 list of “World’s Most Admired Companies.” This internship position will support Power Delivery Information Technology’s Center for Work Excellence team which focuses on redefining work processes for PD and developing systems to manage field work management and roll out of those applications to the field. The team uses Salesforce Platform for building the applications with a low or no code option, configuring the platform to meet the business needs. Responsible for the development and integration of new or existing applications into the technical infrastructure and existing business processes. Provides technical or functional guidance to project and work teams as needed within a specific discipline. Collaborates on an on-going basis with the business analysts, developers, Salesforce Admins and other agile team members. Job Overview
To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists department with assigned projects
- Completes challenging projects and assignments
- Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
- Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school grad / GED
- Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
- Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
