Position Specific Description

Job Overview

This job is leading the team responsible for supporting the IT Enterprise Infrastructure.  The candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, secure, and resilient operation of the IT Enterprise Infrastructure. Leaders in this role ensure on-going personnel training needs are met on all processes and procedures necessary to maintain situational awareness during normal and emergency conditions. The candidate for this role will work with the IT Operations lead team and product owners to define strategies to maintain operational stability, resiliency and flowless execution. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages and oversees the real-time operation of the IT Enterprise Infrastructure on a daily basis.
  • Develop, build and execute a roadmap for overall IT operations and risk management
  • Perform ongoing risk assessments and risk remediation
  • Manages the performance of the IT Operations Leaders and Manage Service Provider as well as provides guidance as needed 
  • Coordinates with function team members across the Product Departments, Application Operations, and business partners to ensure the reliable operation of IT systems
  • Develops and schedules on-going training for Operations Engineers to ensure strong situational awareness of all infrastructure components 
  • Stays current on protocols and standards to ensure departmental compliance is maintained 
  • Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements 
  • Ability to work extended hours 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • A solid IT background combined with security experience.
  • Experience with LAN / WAN technologies and an understanding of network protocols 
  • Experience with Desktop environment (Patching, Anti-Virus, drive encryption, event logs)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience of Risk assessment
  • Experience with Server environment (Patching, Anti-virus, server hardening, event logs)
  • Experience in SAN environments (event logs, upgrades)
  • Vendor Management 
  • Familiarity with risk or business impact assessments (fundamentals of Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity)
  • Understanding of best practice in infrastructure management including Change, Problem and Incident Management
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a role with defined Infrastructure Operations responsibilities
  • Follow defined standards and security requirements
  • Communicate effectively to internal teams and business users within the organization

  •  Works with IT leaders to develop overall IT strategy in alignment with business strategy
  • Oversees value stream by focusing on cost and risks of technology portfolio to meet business needs

  • Ensures high levels of ongoing system and application performance in production environments
  • Oversees development of processes and tools to automate code releases from development to operations (DevOps)

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 8+ years
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
