  • Define and enforce reusable infrastructure patterns, interfaces, controls, and operating requirements for application-ready infrastructure across domains.
  • Identify, analyze, and eliminate technical dependencies, design gaps, and provisioning bottlenecks that result in manual tickets, handoffs, or delays.
  • Make architecture decisions across Infrastructure as Code, orchestration, policy automation, integration, resiliency, observability, supportability, and lifecycle management.
  • Validate that delivered automation capabilities are fully supportable, operable, and extensible by NextEra teams in production environments.

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation, including at least 5+ years in a senior or principal architecture role.
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-scale infrastructure architecture across cloud, compute/servers, networking, security, identity, and operations platforms in complex, multi-domain environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering Infrastructure as Code–driven provisioning systems (e.g., Terraform or equivalent), including automated workflows, orchestration, and policy-based controls.
  • Experience serving as a lead architect or technical authority in cross-functional initiatives involving internal engineering teams and external system integrators or vendors.
  • History of making final or near-final architecture decisions that balance security, operational readiness, scalability, standardization, and delivery speed in production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and enforce enterprise infrastructure standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures adopted across multiple teams or domains.
  • Strong communication and influence skills, with experience operating in environments requiring alignment across application development, infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, and platform engineering teams.
