Position Specific Description

 

This position plans, manages team budget, executes, and finalizes projects, according to schedule and within budget. Employees in this role acquire resources and coordinate and help lead the efforts of team members--including third-party contractors or consultants, in order to deliver projects according to plan. Successful candidates define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.

 

Guide agile teams across FPL Solutions in executing transformation initiatives and delivering customer value. Provide comprehensive agile coaching for all team members including Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Product Management, Developers, and Testers. Lead key focus areas including Agile4U, NEAT, Jira Optimization, Wellness Checks, workshop facilitation, and SAFe training coordination. Serve as a hands-on change agent fostering collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across distributed delivery teams.

 

  • Comprehensive Agile Coaching: Train and coach all agile team members including Release Train Engineers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Product Management, Developers, and Testers in Lean-Agile practices, mindset, and SAFe framework implementation
  • Key Initiative Leadership: Lead and coordinate key focus areas including AGILE4U implementation, NEAT program support, Jira optimization and administration, team wellness checks, and workshop facilitation across multiple delivery teams
  • SAFe Training Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and deliver SAFe training programs, ensuring proper certification paths and continuous learning opportunities for team members at all levels
  • Team Facilitation & Synchronization: Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings across onsite and distributed delivery teams, promoting collaboration and building trust between business, delivery, and support organizations ·
  • Program Support & Execution: Prepare program and release backlogs, establish team objectives, track and publish completed features, and support program-level execution and delivery
  • Risk & Dependency Management: Identify, manage, and escalate risks, dependencies, and impediments across delivery teams, ensuring transparency and removing organizational bottlenecks
  • Communities of Practice Leadership: Contribute to and facilitate Communities of Practice within the agile network, driving knowledge sharing and standardization of best practices
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive adoption of agile engineering best practices, innovation initiatives, and organizational learning to enhance team capabilities and delivery outcomes
  • Metrics & Reporting: Report on standardized program-level metrics, track team performance, and support budget oversight and financial transparency
  • Change Agent Activities: Act as change agent promoting agile transformation, demonstrating strong leadership skills with positive and collaborative attitude across FPL Solutions
  • Responsible for end-to-end IT business process, from idea generation through delivery
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

Preferred Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in agile coaching, program management, or delivery leadership · 2+ years of supervisory/management/leadership experience
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification
  • Experience with Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP, and scaled agile framework practices
  • Proven track record coaching cross-functional teams and facilitating agile ceremonies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at multiple organizational levels
  • Experience with Jira administration and agile project management tools

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification
  • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Agile Coaching certification or formal coaching training
  • PowerBI report creation and dashboard development experience
  • Experience facilitating workshops and training programs
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification

Job Overview

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Trains and coaches leaders, teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindset 
  •  Contributes in Communities of Practice (CoP), within the agile network 
  •  Promotes and encourages collaboration and transparency and builds trusting relationships between business, delivery, and other entities within the organization 
  •  Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings across several different onsite and distributed delivery teams 
  •  Prepares program and release backlogs, as well as team and program objectives 
  •  Tracks, promotes, and publishes completed program features and program and team objectives 
  •  Manages risk and dependencies, communicates and escalates impediments to facilitate transparency, and reduces bottlenecks 
  •  Embraces a continuous improvement mindset, and drives the use of agile engineering best practices and innovation 
  •  Reports on standardized program-level metrics, and understands, tracks, and operates within the program budget 
  •  Plays an instrumental role in the organization's Agile transformation, acts as a change agent, and shows strong leadership skills with a positive and collaborative attitude 
  •  Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED 
  •  Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience 
  •  Experience: 6+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisor/Management/Leadership Experience: 2+ years
