Position Specific Description
Guide FPL-wide agile initiatives and organizational change management across distributed teams. Drive strategic alignment between business objectives and delivery organizations through comprehensive portfolio management, coaching, and change enablement. Serve as a primary change agent providing guidance, best practices, and support to foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across FPL Solutions and their business partners. Job Duties & Responsibilities • Leadership: Lead Agile Process Office and Organizational Change Management teams, driving FPL transformation initiatives and serving as primary change agent for organizational agility • Coaching & Development: Train and coach executives, leaders, agile team members in Lean-Agile practices, fostering mindset shifts and capability development across all organizational levels • Portfolio Management: Prepare and manage portfolio/program backlogs, release planning, team objectives, and program roadmaps while maintaining alignment with strategic business goals and budget constraints • Risk & Dependency Management: Identify, manage, and escalate risks, dependencies, and impediments across multiple delivery teams, ensuring transparency and removing organizational bottlenecks • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate synchronization meetings across onsite and distributed teams, promoting collaboration and building trust between business, delivery, and support organizations • Community Leadership: Contribute to and lead Communities of Practice within the agile network, driving knowledge sharing and standardization of best practices • Metrics & Financial Oversight: Report on standardized portfolio-level metrics, track program performance against objectives, and ensure delivery operates within approved budget parameters • Continuous Improvement: Drive adoption of agile best practices, innovation initiatives, and organizational learning to enhance delivery capabilities and business outcomes • Change Management: Execute comprehensive organizational change management strategies, ensuring successful adoption of new processes, tools, and methodologies across FPL • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with business leaders, delivery teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful transformation outcomes Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field • 10+ years of progressive experience in agile transformation, program management, or organizational development • 5+ years of direct supervisory and management experience leading cross-functional teams • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification with demonstrated experience implementing Scaled Agile Framework • Proven track record leading large-scale agile transformations and change management initiatives • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar program budgets • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at executive levels • Experience with FPL portfolio management tools and methodologies • Background in utility, energy, or regulated industry environments Preferred Certifications • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification • Prosci Change Management Practitioner certification • Six Sigma Green Belt certification • SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) certification • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification
Job Overview
This position guides teams in the execution of agile initiatives to deliver customer value. Employees in this role train and coach in the use of Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP, and scale agile framework practices.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Trains and coaches leaders, teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindset
- Contributes in Communities of Practice (CoP), within the agile network
- Promotes and encourages collaboration and transparency and builds trusting relationships between business, delivery, and other entities within the organization
- Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings across several different onsite and distributed delivery teams
- Prepares program and release backlogs, as well as team and program objectives
- Tracks, promotes, and publishes completed program features and program and team objectives
- Manages risk and dependencies, communicates and escalates impediments to facilitate transparency, and reduces bottlenecks
- Embraces a continuous improvement mindset, and drives the use of agile engineering best practices and innovation
- Reports on standardized program-level metrics, and understands, tracks, and operates within the program budget
- Plays an instrumental role in the organization’s Agile transformation, acts as a change agent, and shows strong leadership skills with a positive and collaborative attitude
